APW - Howard Keystone, Series 0, 23J, 16S, 14K gold OF original Howard case, front and rear with five knuckle hinges and Jurgensen-style lips, gold cuvette with signature ring and 1913 presentation engraving, white enamel DS dial with fancy Arabic numerals, script signature and blue 5-minute numerals, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, jeweled barrel arbor, striped pattern nickel damascene, s#1078830. Gross weight of assembled watch 56.3 dwt (87.5 g). Comes with its original inner and outer boxes with correctly matched movement and case serial numbers.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, plates with some mild toning, small surface nicks and short fine scratches to balance cock, few micro-fine scratches elsewhere, some small bits of oxide to winding wheels and regulator spring; dial with two edge chips near 6 and 7 which are mostly under bezel, outer chapter hl at 12, two tiny edge flakes under bezel between 12 and 2; excellent-plus hands; case shows very little wear, some dings or slight dents to band between 6 and 9, excellent engine turning and engraving detail with only very slight reduction at shoulder; tight bow, crown shows very light wear; good glass crystal; inner box in excellent condition, some dings to exterior, good button latch; outer box in fine condition, all markings remain legible, some light tearing at corners, old stain to upper portion.
